A Wedding of Friends - Sarah & Jesse, September 6

I had a rare experience this weekend - I (Amy) actually got to GO to a wedding as a guest! It has truly been years since that happened!

My sweet, beautiful friends Sarah & Jesse were married on Sunday, September 6, and they insisted that I not lift a finger at the ceremony or the reception, and have a good time with our friends instead - and that we did! They had a lovely wedding at First Lutheran church in Downtown Nashville, followed with a reception at Flyte Restaurant.

Besides having a great night, I also got introduced to the work of their friend and photographer, Brandon Chesbro, and I really love what I saw! He's such a nice guy - very calm and collected during the event - and the pictures are fantastic (not that hotties like Sarah and Jesse can hurt!!). See for yourself! Megan & Billy - Engagement shoot with The Photographix!

I just get SO excited when I'm able to see (and help!) the clients get the right photographers - it makes such a huge difference in the overall experience of your engagement and wedding.

When Megan and Billy first came to meet with me and we talked about photography, she already knew she was in love with The Photographix work and I knew they were going to love Jen and Ann as soon as they met! I emailed the girls to make sure they were free for the big day in October, and the rest is history!

It's such a treat to see Megan and Billy so excited about their photographers and Jen and Ann so excited about their clients - smiles all around!

Glam Time!

We say all the time how blessed we are to have great working relationships and friendships with the very best vendors in town, and I have to say we hit the jackpot with our go-to Make-Up girl, Amy Lynn Larwig! She takes a completely unique approach to each and every face she does, so that YOU shine through. Equally important, she really understands photography and the role that make-up plays in making you look naturally fantastic on your wedding day in front of those incredibly detailed lenses.

Recently a newlywed herself, Amy Lynn shared her amazing wedding photos with me that were taken by Chris and Adrienne Scott. I've heard so much about them, but never had a chance to meet them or work with them yet. However, it turns out that our June 5, 2010 client has booked them for her wedding here at CJ's next year, and after seeing these photos of Amy Lynn and Mark, I can't WAIT to see how CJ's looks through their lens!

A WCW Fav: Chuck Arlund!

CJ and I are so fortunate to have some many amazing photographers that we love to work with and who love to work with us - I wish we had hundreds of a weddings a year so we could work with them all as many times as we'd like to!

One that we've worked with from our early days is Chuck Arlund of Arlund Imagery and I just can't say enough about him. His work certainly speaks for itself - he makes everyone who goes in front of his lens look like a supermodel. Sometimes people think the images on his site are "mock-weddings" because they look so exquisite, but they're real! Chuck (aka Chuckie around WCW!) has a true gift for capturing romance and intimacy in his shots, while still making you look glamourous and, well, hot!

And if talent wasn't enough, his personality can put the shyest bride or hesistant groom right at ease, which allows you to get once in a lifetime pictures of the one you're in love with - naturally! When I look back on clients of mine that he's shot I can see how he captured the unique aspects of each couple's relationship.

Phindy Studios

Well by now I'm sure you've deduced from our blog that both CJ and I are kind of photography groupies - neither of us are photographers per say but we do LOVE the work of all these amazing people we meet.

Our newest introduction is Phil and Mindy Thornton of Phindy Studios - they are super cool! I often have clients who hesitate when we talk about doing bridal portraits, and I certainly sympathize with their concerns. We've all seen the outdated styles and uncomfortable poses that defined bridal portraits of the past, but I'm here to let you know that with the right photographers, this is not your fate!
